So hulifk have our hero, he is two rungs down from the players, and professes to have no ambitions, yet we don’t really see his organization and how he makes his money.

He has my sympathy, as this sounds like what I went through a few years ago. Douglas Hulick has been reading fantasy literature for almost as long as he can remember. He is also a practitioner of Historical Western Martial Arts, with his main focus being on early 17th century Italian Rapier.

I really loved the pseudo-Byzantine atmosphere and the relics. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. From there, the story never slows down, leading you from trying to fit together various pieces of the story to fighting assassins and crime lords. Let’s see if this is any good.
